Anyi Malik is an American comedian, actor, and producer from Oakland, CA, who has dominated the underground comedy scene in Los Angeles since 2011. Comedy Recap called him the “most animated performer” and Breaking Geek described him as a “scene stealer.”
Malik shared with VoyageLA Magazine how he got started in comedy, “I said something funny in a car that had the driver laughing so hard he got into an accident.” This incident ignited Malik’s performing career. He has since stood out on stage (Hollywood Improv, UCB) and on screen (CW, Sundance).
He’s appeared in Netflix’s Dolemite Is My Name, on the CW’s All American, in the Comedy Central documentary This Is Standup, and countless national commercials. The latest project in which he costarred, Embrace, won the SXSW Jury Prize in its pilot presentation competition for its “real laughs and real heart”.
He has also produced a huge amount standup in the last nine years. His 5th comedy album The Sacrament Tho is available, along with his entire catalog, on Spotify, Tidal, iTunes, or wherever you like to stream your laughs.
